Located in the town of Scotts Valley, California, Calvary Chapel Santa Cruz has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and be conformed to His image.  The heart of the body is to reach Santa Cruz County with the Gospel.

The church was planted in July of 2000 by Pastor David Johnston, who served tirelessly as the Senior Pastor for ten years until July of 2010 when he passed the leadership of the church to Pastor Bill Holdridge who now serves as our Senior Pastor.

At Calvary Chapel Santa Cruz, we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book.  It is our understanding that God would have us to recieve the whole of His counsel. (Acts 20:27)  As we study this way, the Lord reveals all of His will and His love for us.  We don’t just teach from the Bible as much as we teach through the Bible.

On Sunday mornings we are currently studying through the books of the New Testament.  During our mid-week study on Wednesday evenings, we are currently studying through the books of the Old Testament.  The Sunday morning and Wednesday evening expositions are separate studies, as we work our way systematically through the study of God’s Word.

As we study through the Bible, we make all of Pastor Bill’s teachings available through our CD ministry, The “Faith Comes By Hearing” television program, and for free on the internet via this website.
